I had a couple technical waxing questions I was hoping to have answered.

I recently bought some HF waxes (yikes that stuff's expensive) in preparation for this years Great Race and was wondering if anyone had some good suggestions for choosing the right wax and on wax application. In my wax box I have Swix HF4, HF7, and HF10, a new Swix Natural Waxing Cork, a plexi scraper, and a Swix Med-Bronze Brush (No fancy iron yet). I've read up a little bit on rub on wax application and using a cork to apply Fluorinated waxes, but would love any pointers if you have some.

Also I'll be bringing my homemade ski waxing table if anyone wants to put our heads together for waxing. I plan on being there at 8:00 (an hour 15 before I start) Give me a call if you are interested 1-651-269-9374.

    Thanks

Looking at the weather, high of 15F with an overnight low of 2F and humidity at 67&. I'm probably going to wax toko white, maybe with some moly mixed in. Not sure what this corresponds with best in the swix line, but Good Luck. Also you may want to wax a little warmer than me, it seems like I'm starting a bit earlier than you (I'm seeded into skate wave 4).

Get an iron stat.If you can't borrow someones. If that is your only wax options I think it's pretty straight foward...HF4 Yeah it might be a little cold if you are racing later but would worry more about rest, eating well, and racing well than wax when you don't have a lot of experience with it anyways.
