I spent Saturday skiing in brilliant sunshine on five metres of great snow to close out a five month season and couldn't pick just one season highlight.
What is your ONE best?
Good question Sailguy. Mine was the finest classic ski day I've ever had. The HS kids had finished racing so I got out on the trails on a glorious sunny day @ Mt. Shasta Nordic. The firm, fast track had been set to perfection, the wax was perfect, the woods there are terrific, the mountain was out in all its glory & visible from many parts of the trails.
I always think it is a good sign when you can't pull out once best day - usually means you had a darn good winter :)
For me, however, it was skiing the 50k course at World Championships the morning of the race in front of tens of thousands of passionate Norwegian ski fans!
