What happened to the club and personal blogs that use to be on the blog roll? It was cool to see what everyone was up too that was not an Olympian (yet). Anyone else missing those links?

Club Blogs where did they go??

yes i kinda miss it. there was some cool and diverse blogs. but i think fs must have gotten sick of the statisticalskier spam blog entries. that guy would put out many blog posts a day and bogart the blog roll. not cool. that guy is kinda weirdo psycho and likely ruined the opportunity for many to have their blog shown on fs. statskier was bad for the ski community on fs. a freak show imo.

My guess is that they caused performance issues for the sight. When I noticed that the club and personal blog section was gone, the site performance was much improved and the site loaded every time I tried to go to it.

cuxc is exactly right. We started having some major site issues this spring, and traced one of the problems to the XC Feeds. So we had to disable them. This is just temporary, and have begun rebuilding the site from scratch to hopefully eliminate the issues.
A number of people have communicated that they miss the XC Feeds. We think it is a great part of the site, and definitely will bring it back.

This is sad and I for one really really enjoy statistical skier, I think it is one of the most interesting skiing related sites on the web.
