With this difficult snow season so far, consider the new Ski Fast single stick and double poling wall mounted unit. I recently purchased the Concept 2 Ski Erg and after seeing the new Ski Fast unit I'm thinking my timing couldn't have been worse. The Ski Fast has real xc grips and straps and unlike the Ski Erg it's possible to single stick on this unit as well. Anyone interested in my Ski Erg?

Don't sell it. I tried the ski fast at west yellowstone and it was way to easy to max or that machine imo. The ski erg had much better resistance control than ski fast. Also the confirm on the ski fast is too small therefore you are too close.I don't think either of these is an equal substitute for just going out and doubling polling on skis or rollers but ski fast is not a good. Isn't it made by people in florida....?

"Isn't it made by people in florida....?"

It's obvious Mr. Eastman knows very little about Florida's "winter" weather since he has elected to live only in states which get snow. But, what he lacks in "weatherology" he makes up for in his great knowledge of how to train on roller skis. There-by agreeing with you, nordicguy/you only need roller skis. During a late december Development Camp at the OTC in Lake Placid (with no snow even up in the peaks) Mr. Eastman rounded up a bunch of 8-10 year old "Future Stars" and roller skis and took them out roller skiing on the "famed" river road in LP. "Lets go have some fun even without snow". They all kinda looked at him.......Hours later they came back. Smiles, laughter and the great feeling youngsters have when they know they have accomplished something really special that they thought only the Best in the World were capable of. From that day forward those boys always roller skied with great technique. Those 5 boys were L.Bailey,T.Burke,B.Demong,J.Beckwith and T.Weston. All learning at an early age that you could still ski and have fun in summer and winter even without snow thanks to Mr. Eastman.

    Howdy Roger!

You are right, I have little experience living in such a place like Florida, where there is little snow. But perhaps on a year like this though, the entire Northeast is a bit more like Florida than normal. Palm fronds make a real mess out of klister jobs...

I am in Bellingham, WA not living on snow but near lots of it. The coastal snow sometimes makes for wax nightmares but for the most part good skiing.

I have heard the "Ski Fast" works very well and that the single stick deal is good.
