....Besides Alaska and New Mexico? We (California) sure don't, I guess Bend finally has some. Just watched Alex's great video from Maine, so I know the east doesn't, and Central sounds pretty bare. It's 2012, for goodness sakes, is anyone skiing on decent stuff other than Anchorage?

US Nat's wouldn't be happening in Anchorage today (1/2). Lots of snow, but 10 to 15 below 0 (F). Fairbanks is 30 below zero F.

Colorado is thin in most places, but skiing has been happening since mid October. My estimate is that most nordic centers are about 25% open, but open none-the-less. Skiing in some places is really quite good.

The UP, especially the Keweenaw peninsula, has quite a bit of snow.

My local area Cypress (think 2010 oly snowboarding venue) still has about a metre and a half left, but it is raining every other day which takes away some of the thrill.

Whistler Olympic park has everything open and good spring conditions. http://www.whistlerolympicpark.com/weather/webcams

Silverstar/Sovereign is causing me to feel serious envy. A tricky day for classic, but still hard wax... http://www.sovereignlake.com/index.php/weather/

We just got about 6" lake effect, still coming. Supposed to be even more in the Traverse City area. Hope to be skiing tomorrow.

It's been pretty sweet here in New Mexico throughout December. But...it's getting warmer and drier by the day. Still, 58" of snow goes a long way, even when it gets in the 40s. The north-facing slopes and trees keep the snow at Extra Blue, while the south-facing slopes get wet-icy. We tend to locate our trails out of those exposed locations as much as possible, but it's inevitable that at least some short sections of Nordic trail will end up on those spots. Finally looking at a cool-down and a storm this weekend. Conditions still look great for the coming "NM Classics" racing season =) Pics and info at http://www.swnordicski.org ...even the Sandias above Albuquerque has great Nordic skiing right now!

New England: Craftsbury has been very good. Terrain is limited but the course contains the right mix of terrain. Have heard good things about Trapps, too.

Skating was great at Lapland Lake, Northville NY the weekend of Feb 5. Thing but solid base, fast conditions.
