so i'm purchasing some new poles but i'm having difficulty deciding between the exel world cup pole and the swix CT2 team pole. I'd love people's opinions on these poles along with some stats on the 2 poles such as which weighs more, which is stronger etc. also if you know of any other poles similar to these that are about the same quality or better and less than 200 american dollars i'd love to hear bout'em. thanks

    Hi Colby,

I work in a shop in Canada and I have strong opinions on this topic. Exel poles are great - at first. The problem is that Exel changes their handle/strap configuration approximately every six minutes. Did you hear that sound? I think it just changed again.

This, of course, is not an issue as long as you never wear out your handle or break a strap.

You are going to want to stick with Swix, simply because it will be much easier (ie possible) to get parts down the road.

thank you for your insights on this patrick, i'll have to keep that in mind but, a couple follow-up questions to that would be "how strong does exel make their grips/straps" and "even if they do change it and i need it replaced is there any way to get it fixed by means of simply trying the new exel grip or maybe trying to put on another company's grip."
