here's a link to an on-line training diary thats free and quite comprehensive.
in the drop-down menu for selecting workouts it lists rollerskiing, skate and classic, ski walking, elghufs, nordic walking, skate and classic on snow as well as tons of other options.
it's originally swedish in origin but has an english option.
you need to register before you can take a look but it's free and doesn't take long.

The looks like it has potential, but has lots of bugs. And they took down the iOS app cause it wasn't working. (Site owner said wait for major update in a month or so...)

I like the idea of a "Cloud" based training log (i.e., ability to enter and view data from anywhere)--does anyone have suggests for other (more developed) options?

Attackpoint.com has online training logs. Not sure how specific it would be, I still log hours the old fashioned way. Paper and pen. However I can see the utility of a cloud-based log, especially for a coach managing several athletes.

"Funbeat.net" went through their update and looks pretty good. Ability to enter training data on iPad or iTouch really is very convenient....
