    Hi all,
My son (7 years old) use Salomon shoes "Equipe Junior Pilot" for classic skiing. This year the club plan 7 lessons of skating. Does anyone know if this shoes can be used for skating? Salomon speak only about classic, but the resseller told me that skating was possible. Otherwise, i need to buy new combi boots?
    Any help appreciate.

    Regards.

As the Equipe Junior is a low-cut boot without a cuff around the ankle, it will definitely not be a good skate boot. That said, if your son is just "trying" skating (for 7 lessons), it might be Ok. If you are willing to purchase a new pair of boots, I highly recommend the Salomon Skiathlon Junior. Both my kids (age 8 and 12) use these. Our kids ski 3-4 days per week for 5 months/year, so the extra cost is well worth it for us.

I am with SalomonNordic and yes the Equipe Junior Pilot will work fine for a 7 year old to skate with 7 times. If they were skating every day this may be a different issue and the Skiathlon boot would be a better choice. As the child grows that will want a more supportive cuff to skate with but most 7 years old are light enough that they are not putting large twisting forces on the ski boot yet when skating.

Salomon makes a cute kid sized combi boot. They go all the way down to size 13.
