Welcome to the the FasterSkier Forums. The purpose of these forums is to provide a platform for discussion and the sharing of information related to cross-country skiing, nordic combined and biathlon. Please post in appropriate forums and be respectful in any disagreements.

When creating new posts, it is helpful to add "tags" in the tag field. This will help people find your posts when searching, and also add an additional level of organization. For example, if you write a post asking a question about how many level 4 intervals you should be doing, you might add the tags "Level 4" and "intervals." The post should be added in the Training forum.

The success of these forums depends completely on the participation of the community. Nordic sports forums have generally failed in the past. The internet is scattered with similar attempts that haven't had a post in years. Other forums have turned into a gear swap. Many other sports have robust national level forums where the community asks and answers questions, and discusses the sport. It is odd that a group as passionate as skiers have not taken to this form of communication. We believe that an active forum would provide enormous benefit to the ski community as a whole, helping to educate coaches and athletes, and providing a more efficient system for the the sometimes heated discussions about the state of our sport.

The current system of comments on the Main Site will remain, and we encourage you to post your thoughts there. But comments on articles are not conducive to lengthy discussions or specific questions. As the article moves down the list, it becomes easy to lose track of the comment thread, and difficult for others to join in. These forums are easily searchable, and the most recent activity will always be visibile - even if the original post is quite old.

Yo can login in the upper left. Your standard FasterSkier username and password will work as users are completely synced between the Main Site and the Forums. A FasterSkier Blogs username and password will not work!

If you have any problems or feedback, don't hesitate to contact us.
